FO: Hoist Yonder Anchor

So, there's this girl I know. She's my best friend. It's actually kinda a funny story... In September of last year, we both attended our first InterVarsity meeting at our school. She had just transferred in, and I had decided to try to get more involved with a Christian ministry on campus (since my first year I had just hid in the commons and not talked to anyone... :P). I walked in a bit early, and met a girl named Melanie. We chatted briefly, and she asked if I had met Shelby. I was thinking that she was already heavily involved in IV. Little did I know, Melanie and Shelby had met literally 2 minutes before I walked in. Melanie introduced Shelby and I and said "Well... I don't know if you guys have anything in common, so..... YEAH!" and walked off... We exchanged numbers that night and started going to small group together and the rest is history... :)

So we do pretty much everything together. One of those things is drinking coffee. When she's in Richmond, we go to Starbucks at least twice a week to work (she's a graphic designer and I'm a bioinformaticist-in-training --- both of those involve computers) and chat (because we're girls). She's the one who got me started on coffee, so a mug cozy seemed like a natural gift for her... She also really loves anchors, so I designed this mug cozy for her! :)

I have this post strategically scheduled to be posted after I arrive in North Carolina to visit her! :)
On one of our many visits to Starbucks.
We call these our study faces... ;)
