I FINISHED!!! :D

Pattern: Lelah Top by Christine Buhagiar
Yarn: Lion Brand Cotton Ease (~2.5 skeins)
Needles: US size 7, 6, 5 (see below)

My modifications:
Started lace on size 7 needles with 176 stitches.
After 6 lace repeats, I switched to size 6.
After 4 more lace repeats, I switched to size 5.
I think I did 3 lace repeats in size 5 needles, knitted a row, placed a lifeline and then did a bunch of decreases (through 2 rounds) to end up with 143 (I think) stitches.
Okay, so then I did a round of eyelets for the strand to go through, which will end up being a crocheted chain. I don’t remember the pattern exactly though.

I did short row shaping on the top portion. Started 10 stitches out from the back center, which was the beginning of the round for me. I think I skipped 3 or 4 stitches between each wrapped stitch. I unwrapped them all and such after there was sufficient shaping...

Then, I added picot edging and put straps on. The straps are the same pattern as the bottom part of the shirt, so 11 stitches wide.

  1. It's so pretty! I've been thinking of making that top, too, and now I definitely want to.
